Does BCPM mean ALLof my biology classes on top of the premed requirements (like mo bio, biochem, etc)? How do medical schools count the "science" GPA- by looking at only the required courses or all of the science classes?

They count all of your classes in those four categories.

All classes in those categories is right...but if your school is like mine, there's a Microbiology dept, a Biochemistry AND a molecular and cellular biochemistry dept, a Molecular Genetics dept...so when people say just bcmp it's a little ambiguous 🙂

crystal18mc--

i PMed you..about int'l volunteering stuff. thanks!

I have taken some "other" science classes - human nutrition and anthropology.

Would these be counted on BCMP?

I think nutrition would, but anthro I don't think so...someone please correct me if I'm wrong. 🙂

NYgirl, I PM'ed you back! 🙂

Anthropology definitely isn't, and nutrition usually isn't either, unless it's a biochem-based course.
