science gpa calculation

Does anyone know how science GPA's are calculated? Do they look at their requirements or do they look at all of your science classes?
If one was to retake a few of the science classes at another college, how is the science GPA affected? do they average your grade from the old school?

Hi Purple,

All of your science classes, whether they are requirements or not will be figured into your science GPA. The science GPA includes math classes. AADSAS also calculates a BCP GPA which includes only biology, chemistry and physics classes. Again, it figures in all biology, chem, and physics classes, not just the required courses.

Also, if you have re-taken a course, they will figure in both your old grade and new grade when calculating your GPAs.

If you are unsure as to whether a course counts toward your science GPA, I would suggest searching this forum, a lot of people have posted questions about whether certain courses counted toward the science GPA.
