I'm not sure if anyone has asked this before, but which classes do vet schools look at to determine your science gpa? Just the pre-req classes or other science classes as well? I'm considering boosting my gpa by taking some 2 unit science classes...would this be a good idea?

You need to check with individual schools.

Some use a cumulative BCPM (biology, chemistry, physics, math) score and others will use JUST pre-req science courses for the science GPA. Obviously, for the latter, taking advanced courses won't necessarily help you improve that score, though taking more science is still beneficial in the long run, especially if your pre-req's were below average.

Also, some schools get picky about what disciplines are considered "science," like is Animal Science a biological science, husbandry (non-science), or both?
