Hi all,
I am currently in my final semester and will be graduating with a bio major. I am, like everyone else, pre-dental. My only problem is that my science GPA is 2.69 right now. I can bring the science GPA to a 2.7-2.8 at the end of this semester, but its still below 3.0. My overall GPA is 3.33 and I have signed up to take the DAT in April. My practice exam scores for the DAT have been very good and I have confident I should do well.
The only reason my science GPA is low is because of one class that really screwed me over during a tough semester and even after re-taking it and getting a good grade the science GPA is still low. I started very poorly in college as a freshman and sophomore, but picked up the slack and for the past year my science GPA has been 3.5+ though not good enough to bring it up for dental school.
I am looking around for science master programs that dental schools would look at with my science GPA and I was hoping if someone could provide feedback.
Is there a school that has a science masters program that would accept me even though my science GPA is low? Does anyone know of any school(s) with a science masters program that will accept me with this GPA? I really changed my studying methods and matured myself from my previous college days. I wish I could change that, but its history.
If anyone who was in the same boat as me with a science GPA below 3.0 and got into a masters program that dental schools look at, please provide more information of which masters program school they got accepted into. I have been stressed out and have been in full depressed mode because of this for the past month now because my dream to my profession is on the line.
Thanks for everyones input!
