Hi everybody

I have a BS degree from an overseas university and I didn't take any humanity or foreign language classes in undergraduate. I am now taking a 2-year (90 units) postbacc program and I was wondering if I should make myself busy in each semester by taking all science classes, with no guarantees of As, or should I pad up my GPA with psychology or spanish intro with guarantee of As? (I've taken english composition already in the postbacc program).

I know Psychology and Spanish do not count to science GPA. so given fact that I will be taking only about 90 units for my postbacc, should I only focus on science classes and not bother wasting time taking non-premed but easy classes?

any input is appreciated.

thanks

The point of post-bacc, if you in fact need it, is to show medical schools that you can do well in science courses. People usually take post-bacc if they had a non-science major and did not complete all the pre-requisites. That means that taking science courses will be important. I don't see why a medical school would need to see you do post-bacc in philosophy, psychology, etc.

my reason for taking postbacc is that the foreign country I got my BS from doesn't have "general education" and science classes in undergrad because they're done in high school. so basically I am like re-doing the first 2 years of undergrad in an american university.
