hi everyone, i was wondering if anybody knows which science gpa schools use in all the publications we read. is it the "science" gpa or the "bcp" which is posted on AADSAS? it would make sense if it was the "science" gpa... 🙂 thanks!

From the schools I've talked to it is science not BCP.

Usually its not that big a difference but it was for me. My BCP on my AADSAS app was 3.05 and science was 2.85. I think I had done bad in some calculus classes my freshman year. Ironically I'm good at math and got a 30 on the QR part of the DAT. Go figure!

No.

BCP = Biology, Chemistry, Physics

Science = Any science course (e.g. Computer Science, Geology, Geography, Trigonometry, math, biology, chemisty, physics etc etc)

I think many dental schools 1st look at BCP and TS because dental students study biology and chemistry in dental school. Physical education and general education and the like are also important but probably not as important as BCP.

ummm... yea...

my question is, when you look at the adea's "official guide to dental schools" and it says in one column "over-all" and in the other column "sci." is that sci. referring to the BCP, or to the Science?

and that's great that you've still got your ring jessica.

It also includes engineering courses. I hope they look more at my BCP than science as a result!
