Ok, so I checked out the AACOMAS standards for gpa basing it on science and non-science. So, do they mean to tell me that 'other sciences' like kinesiology and anatomy and physiology will be counted towards my science gpa? I need clarification and if anyone here can help me it would be so appreciated.

I have taken Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Neuromuscular Anatomy (?), and Advanced Exercise Physiology I and II. I can undestand A&P I and II but the advanced exercise physiology wouldnt be counted, would it? Also, I took these classes during my Masters program, is that averaged in totally different, or does that go into the whole gpa? Sorry to ask so many questions but I am just trying to figure out my gpa. Thanks.

They all should be considered "science." Exercise physio may go under other science on app, but will go toward total science. Email / call them if in doubt.

These subjects determine GPA computations for meeting college entrance requirements. Each subject will be verified and corrected if necessary.

English Requirement: If you fulfilled your undergraduate institutions English requirement with a course(s) outside of the English Department, list the appropriate course(s), up to six semester hours, as English. Make a notation that this course(s) was approved as fulfilling your English requirement by your institution in Personal Comments/Personal Statement. Contact the AACOMAS office with any questions or irregularities.

I would have to concur with what has been said. I am a biochemical engineering major. The department the course came out of makes the difference, but everything that funnels into "other science" will end up in your science GPA. Let me give you an example. I took a course in biochemical separations this last semester. Next semester I will have a course and a lab in bio/biochemical reactors. This totals eight hours. But because the courses are in the chemical engineering and not chemistry department, they do not count as biochemistry or chemistry. They are "other science."

No worries though, when your application is reviewed by the school's admissions committee, they will see your impressive coursework portfolio. That is what is going to matter.

Best of luck to you.

Along these same lines . . . will we see our AACOMAS GPA? Just looking at the AACOMAS status page doesn't really tell me whether or not I'll ever see what GPA they come up with.

AACOMAS GPA shows up on the final report after the app is processed.
