Hi, to those of you who have started secondary application process: does D.O schools send their secondary applications based on your Science GPA or Overall GPA?

I'd appreciate your opinion, esp. lets say if you have a science GPA at their cutoff limit or below with a higher overall GPA.

I'm curious about this too. To add to it a bit, I'd also love to know if post-bacc gpa trumps overall GPA as well.

I wish this stuff was easier to find out 🙂

I know some schools will send out a secondary to everyone who submitted a primary, regardless of GPA.
On the other hand, DMU says you must have a minimum science and overall GPA > 3.0, so they screen both.

So, different schools use different criteria.

This varies a lot from school to school - check the websites of the ones youre interested in. I ended up only applying to 3 schools (Touro-CA, NY, KC) none of which have admitted to having GPA cut offs. I'm hoping that my MCAT, ECs, and LORs will cover my just-barely-less-than-3.0 undergrad GPA - though I'm a totally stress case about it right now 😳

it's not too late to add more schools to my designation lists even though I already turned in my application?

you can add more schools, I did, and even got a secondary from that school. SO go ahead and add away if you wish

As a side note to this, they **** you in the wallet with the additional fees for adding schools 🙂 I think it's $50 for the first, $90 for 2, etc etc, or something like that.
