Well,
Since antifreeze does so much damage, this "cousin" should be able to do some good. Hopefully, they won't find any effects long term effects(kidney damage).

I read that article too - I really think it's too soon to tell right now. I go both ways on this one. On the one hand, I think it's great that we've at least found another option for paralysis, but also advocate caution that we don't go off the deep end until more testing has been done to establish safety measures.

Overall though, I thought it was a very interesting article.

Carbon dioxide is just one little ol' oxygen atom from carbon monoxide. Ethanol is a "cousin" of methanol.
And so on, and so forth...

Remember the Febreze urban legend that went around--Febreze killed cats and it contained an ingredient that was "one molecule away from antifreeze!!!" 😱
