Just wondernig if anyone who has taken the DAT can be more specific of the scope of the Bio section. I've read that the Kaplan book covers 80-85% of the material but there are some questions that aren't covered.

Can anyone give me specific areas to worry about. Kaplan seems pretty thorough except for the ecology and classification systems. Also it doens't really talk about differences between protostomes and dueterostomes. Is that something worth covering?

Also on the Top Score tests there are some very specific questions regarding classifications. Kaplan only summarizes charactersitics of kingdoms and phylums but doens't talk much about different classes. Some of these questions caught me off guard on Top Score. Has anyone seen these types of questions on the actual DAT?

I got a 22 on BIO and only study the Kaplan review book, There were a few questions that I had not seen on the Kaplan book which I still could figure it out very strightforward (one was ecology and the other was about plant biology), but they were simple. Howerever, there was a question about anatomy of arm that I had no idea, never seen it before and it was not on the kaplan book.
If you have a lot of time then study the GRE bio book and if you do not have a lot of time and you are happy with 20+ then learn everything on the Kaplan book and you will be fine.
