Asides from the United States and most Canadians provinces, what other countries in particular allow DO's full scope of practice? Do most Western European nations or Australia allow it.

I know most people are concerned with non-US/Canadian practice rights, but how many people actually plan to practice outside the US? If you are interested in doing aid work, doing it under the auspices of a group like Doctors Without Borders usually deals with that issue. Even in those nations with rights, people usually must complete residency in that country.
Yup. Many pre-meds think that a US MD will automatically allow you practice anywhere in the world without restrictions.
Most systems are fairly insular. Take the EU a foreign graduate could conceivably receive rights in Austria, after completing a residency. First picks go to Austrian grads, next to EU grads for residency. If there are any positions left, you would be in line for them. The same is true for practice. Within Austria you would be allowed in to practice in a position that can't be filled by an Austrian. That means in all likelihood it is a post that no one wanted and there would be a preference for EU citizens.
Hmm so for an Austrian RESIDENCY, they want AUT or EU GRADS. But for a job post residency they want AUT or EU CITIZENS?
I guess what i am asking is, for a job, can a U.S. trained physician with austrian citizenship and german fluency (lets say born in AUT) compete with the AUT citizen who also trained in AUT?
I ask because I am an Austrian citizen attending undergrad and medschool in the united states but I want to keep the option of working in AUT open.
With "position that can't be filled by austrian physician" do they define austrian physician as...
someone who is a citizen
or someone who is both a citizen and trained in austria?
thanks! hope someone knows because i have been trying to find out with no success
