If I take Step 2 on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday does it take 3 or 4 weeks to come back. For instance if I take it on Oct 13, 14, or 15 when does it come back.

From my understanding, if you take it by Friday, you should get it in 3 weeks. If taken on Saturday/Sunday, then it's as if you are taking it in the following week, and then you have to wait 4 weeks.

I could be wrong on this, but it's my understanding of how things work.

Its totally random. Its not random for you, per se, but trying to guess is rediculous. If you make the cut, you might get your score in a week. If youre on the wrong side of the cut, you wait 8 weeks to get your score.

On the print out prometric gives you at the end of the session, it tells you how long you have to wait. When you finish your test, actually read everything, it will tell you exactly how long to wait.

I was told 8 weeks, and i waited 8 weeks.

My roommate was told 3 weeks, and waited 3 weeks.

We took the test at different times, different days, same site.

Can anyone else verify this. I just checked my sheet and it says 8 weeks. Why would some people have to wait less than anyone else. I thought it was all about a month after you take the exam. I had heard it's 3 or 4 Wed. from when you took it depending on if you took it before or after. For example if you took it on Tuesday then it would be 3 and if you took it on Thursday it would be 4 because the first Wed. starts the following week since you took it after.

I was hoping to get my result next week or the week after. That's why I took it the day I did otherwise I would be screwed for the match. I took it Oct. 7th. Anyone please clarify. Thanks.

It's the 3rd or the 4th Wednesday for most examinees. Unlikely, but it could be up to 8 weeks for some. I thought the print out you get at the end of the session is generic for all, telling you not to bother them unless more than 8 weeks have passed.

Hang in there guy, I know it sucks to have to wait (I've had to wait over 7 weeks for step1 and CS over the past few months).
