Just wondering how many score reports you get to send free of charge when applying to take DAT. I recall from previous threads that you were allowed 5 scores with a 25$ fee applied to each additional school. However, I didn't see anything on the application that restriction the selection to 5 schools.

They're all free at the time of registration. Smart thing to do is select all of the schools for just in case. After this point, it'll cost $25 per school. Just check them all! That's what I did.

idk. It may not be a bad idea to have a few grand lying around in case they charge you for sending your score to every institution on the planet.

Seriously tho, does anybody know if the "5 free score reports" is outdated. The text on the application is extremely vague.

No you didn't screw up. The OP is confusing the 5 school limit with the post-registration request form when you can only request up to 5 schools per each time.

Some people are too lazy/foolish to not read during the registration process and wind up not selecting any schools, and later wasting $$hundreds later.

Trust me, my buddy took the DAT earlier this year, selected all schools, only to applied to three schools, got accepted and never had any issues with selecting all 60 schools.

ok when you're saying selecting schools you mean during online registration to take the DAT... not during the actual exam right?

yes the 5 schools free @ time of registration is old. I believe the switch to everything is free @ time of registration started in July 2010. I was one of the people who was skeptical they would make such a switch. its a huge profit margin for them.

anyhow you select the schools during registration. Its where you have to provide your DENTPIN and pay.

You don't do any school selection or anything else for that matter related to your scores during the exam other than taking the exam.

Simple solution and instruction: just select all of the schools at the time of DAT registration. Then you have nothing to worry about except studying for the exam.

I thought once you have selected at least one school that is participating in the AADSAS, then all of the other participating schools would also get it if you applied to them. Please correct if I am wrong because I am taking my dat soon and I have only selected a couple of schools out of the 8 I applied to.
