Score request before test

I just took my DAT today, but I requested have scores sent out to additional schools back when I first signed up for the DAT in August.

I went back to the website to read over things and noticed:

"five score reports are included in the application fee. Once you select the dental schools you wish to receive score reports, you cannot change your selections. If you wish to request reports for additional schools, you should do so only after scores have been processed and released for official reporting – approximately 3-4 weeks after testing."

Does that mean I just wasted my money by requesting early...even though on the form it said for future scores?

Do I have to send in another request to have my scores sent out? I'm so confused...

That is only if you fill out an ADDITIONAL score report later on. If you marked all your schools when you first signed up for the DAT, I think you should be fine. However, just call the ADA and make sure.

I did what you did. I requested before I took my DAT.
And the score was sent to additional schools.

Ok...good to hear. From what I've read with other people having trouble with their DAT score reports...its a huge hassle to call ADA and get a decent response.

I'll wait about 3-4 wks and contact the schools directly to see if they get my scores.

I would at least recommend calling the ADA to make sure which test scores they plan on sending out if they have that info available. If there are any issues with your score requests, it's better to go ahead and resolve it rather than wait another 3 to 4 weeks and find out that schools didnt get your scores. I called the ADA to make sure my second scores were sent, and I was glad I called when I did, because they had not.

I took DAT once so it might be less confusing.
I sent email to ADA to find out the exact date the dat score was sent.

Yeah this was my first time taking the DAT too, so there shouldn't be any confusion about which scores for them to send out.
