I am goign to take my DAT very soon. There's a problem though, I score 19, 20 on Topscore and found KSF to be a joke. I thought every question was extremely easy. Like they're giving a toluene and Br2/FeCl3 as a reagent asking how many products will be form. I put two because I thought it is a ortho, para directing, so one minor and one major. The answer was 3. They have meta as well saying that it's <1%. I keep on missing questions like that. It is because I haven't study enough? Is the real test any similar to this. I score 25 on Topscore on Gen Chem and scored 18 on KSF. 🙁. Please help all the expert out there🙁. For Biology, I score 19 on topscore and 17, 16 on KSF. One of my friends who scored a 20 on the DAT said that KSF was really similar to the real test. That's scared me. Thanks you guys a bunch....... :scared:

What's KSF?

Well Ill be honest with you.... I usually did a bit better on KSF than on Topscore... but the tests are truly crap! If you can do well on topscore.... you will do great on the real test. KSF is a rip off and not worth a dime. Even though they charge a bit much... Kaplan's online material is the best review. With 10 exams to take... you get the timing down and they keep repeating the themes tested most on the DAT... but seriously... dont worry about KSF... its nothing like the real test. Topscore, however, I would say is a bit harder than the real thing.

I have a friend who took the Kaplan course, I brought the materials off from them. Are those the tests you're talking about? Thanks.

If you are refering to the three booklets, then no.... They have a total of 10 exams online. Also... taking the test on paper is close to worthless. Half this test is learning the material but the other is being able to take a four and a half hour test in front of a computer screen and timing. I know somone who took the test the first time on paper and retook it two years later on the computer and the score dropped from 25 to 22. The fat Kaplan DAT book isnt a bad study tool, but combined with the exams online along with subject tests, you have a great package.

I tried to search for the 10 exams you mentioned, but I couldn't find it? Can you please tell me where it is? Thank you.

You are probably looking at the main page... there are three tabs on top... and I forget their names exactly... but one should say something along the lines of additional materials... or test materials... you can see all the tests and quizes that you should take. That or you may have to change the view to see all your scores and then you can see the 7 other tests that are empty.

Yea, and it costs you like $1000 👎

KSF is a major joke...I totally wasted my money on it. Particulary, the PAT section. They actually had mistakes and the questions were extremely redundant. They're suppose to give you your money back if you find mistakes, but there's like no way of showing them the errors. I had called them up and complained. The guy that I spoke to had really no defense. I'm looking for more problems on the PAT. Does anyone know where to buy them??
