Scores for my DAT: 6/26

Hi, I'm new to posting on this forum, but have been an observer for the last couple weeks. I got really nervous reading about everyone's terrific scores and all the resources they had used to study...particularly about the "superb DAT Destroyer that i owe my life and future success to", which I didn't have, and didn't have time to order before my test date (6/26)...but now, after having taken the real DAT, I can honestly tell those of your anxious to know...that kaplan and topscore are indeed sufficient.

The difficulty of the real DAT is a lot like Kaplan's 5 tests and Topscore's 3, with all of the sections easier than Kaplan's subject tests. Math was easy, I thought I was breezing through, but apparently I missed more than I thought. 👎

What types of questions did you encounter in the QR? You scored well on the Bio. What are your thoughts on this sections?

Outta curiosity, where did you get 5 Kaplan's from? Or rather, which were they?

I have the diagnostic, midterm, and final (all pdf version, as I borrowed the materials from a friend).

But I didn't know there were two more...

Those practice test scores were looking very good, looks like you really deserved your scores. Solid all the way along.

sacjumpman, and by 5 practice tests I mean 6....I forgot to count the diagnostic since it's not a full-length test.

but, #1 is under "Before Test Day", and #2 and #3 are under PAT 2.

Nice job buddy, those scores are definitely something to be proud of. Your attitude, however, is not. There has not been one post that I can remember that has said that it is impossible to do well on the DAT without the Destroyer. Many people find that it is a good tool that challenges them after they have used other materials like Topscore, Achiever and Kaplan. You used the other materials that people used and you did very well, but that it is not to say that you might have done better or worse had you used the Destroyer. You are correct, there is too much hype about the Destroyer, but that doesnt mean that its not a great tool just because you didn't know about it in time to order before your exam My point: don't knock something that you haven't tried, you only set yourself up for embarassment with sheer ignorance. I hope there are no hard feelings, just learn not to speak when you don't have a basis for comparison. Wishing you the best of luck with you admissions process, I am sure you will be great with your scores.

truly the point of my post was to tell the people out there who've already dropped a grand on the kaplan course that they are already well-equipped. that said, i agree, i shouldn't be dissing the destroyer, and i probably would've have picked up on some questions that might've improved my score.
