Since AMCAS was closed on Friday because of President Reagan's services, I wonder if it will take a day longer for them to post the scores?

I don't think that there will be a delay--I'm pretty sure that AAMC/AMCAS is in D.C. and I know MCAT is in Iowa. I think people were calling MCAT offices yesterday and getting a person. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

lol, you guys are acting as if they still have to finish grading our scantrans or something, FYI, our scores are already out, I'm sure that med schools, health profession advisors, etc... already have them. A friend of mine who's in med schools says that med schools get the scores like 2 weeks before we do.

Why would they send them to Medschools before us? THat doesnt even make sense as the MCAT scores are sent with amcas to medschools.

yes, could someone please explain this to me as well? when and why would med schools and pre-med advisors get the scores so long (~two weeks?!) before we do?

Allright these discussions need to stop. Scores will be out by june 15 and that's it! Advisors and med schools don't get our scores before us, How is it even possible!

Thanks, I try. The friend I was referring to goes to one of the Texas schools, I think med schools will have access to your score if you have already applied and are waiting on your MCAT score. Trust me I?ve heard this from several reliable sources.

Edit: By the way, everything I'm saying is based on what I know from Texas schools, which have their own online application system, and you can submit your application as early as May 1st.

Just in case anybody is still wondering, I actually e-mailed the MCAT people about 2 weeks ago asking if the rumor was true that med schools receive our scores before we do. This was the response...

No, medical schools do not receive your scores before the students do.

Must've been the same guy who on Friday told someone on this board "It doesn't hurt to check tonight", when asked when scores would be released. 🙄
