USMLE Scoring in Usmle

Hi Docs,
How scoring is done in usmle. If X scored 260, does this mean he answered 260 Q's correctly?
One of my friends told me that it depends on individual subject, suppose if I answer 260 Q's correctly and score zero in Genetics, my score goes down to less than 260.
Which is true in this case.

no one knows. Just answer all of your questions correctly.

Based on the NBME with expanded feedback, anecdotal evidence and a small sampling of scaled scores and %correct shows 90% raw score is about a 246.

Of course, this is imprecise and no one knows how this applies to the real test.
