So I'm starting to take sample tests (old ADA or Kaplan tests) and I'm having trouble figuring out how to score a section out of 30.

BIO - 40 Questions
GC - 30 Questions
OC - 30 Questions
PAT - 90 Questions
RC - 50 Questions
QR - 30 Questions

Say for example, I'm assuming if I got 20 questions correct on GC, OC, and QR that's a 20/30.

But what if I got 20 right out of 40 questions (or only half) on BIO, do I just do the math and assume the DAT score for that section is 15/30?

Same if I got 83/90 on PAT (92%). Should I just take 92% of 30 and score myself as 28/30? (rounded up from 27.6, do they round up or down?) Anyway, thanks in advance for any input!

I'm assuming that this means the difficulty level of each question is taken into consideration? If so, how am I supposed to gauge how I scored?

There is a conversion chart online. Just google it. It is not entirely accurate, but it will give you a good ballpark. Usually if you make a 32/40 in bio for example that is usually about a 19 or so. If you miss 4-5 on gchem or ochem, that's usually a 19 or 20ISH. I don't have a full conversion chart, these are ballpark guesses from what I used to get on practice tests.
