For future reference, you can call the NRMP to clarify these important issues once and for all rather than listening to internet advice. I've already had to call them about something, and they are super friendly and very helpful. They obviously deal with neurotic med student questions all day, every day.
That said, the answer to your question is that nobody gets access to the unfilled list until Tuesday at 12:00, no matter who you are. They spell this out pretty clearly on their website, so I wouldn't worry about that rumor.
