In your shop are you currently being pressured to screen pts out? Do you personally do it? Whats the liability?

Do a search for medical screening exams or MSEs and you should find several threads on this. Short version: it's bad for doctors but good for hospitals. You spend your time but don't get compensated. There's a ton of liability for you as the physician and no benefit for you. If your hospital wants to start screening patient out tell them to get their hospital employed nurses to do it, so they can absorb the liability and not involve you with it.
