Ok so here is my problem. When you log into pharmcas and enter your college, along with the year you graduate and any associated minors that your will recieve. I wrote down that I was going to get a chemistry degree and a biology minor.

However, I now realized I dont want a bio minor. It would be a pain in the ass at this point to try and get it, and now I cant go back into pharmcas and edit out this mistake. Instead, I have to DELETE all my course work sessions and then delete my college and re-enter all that info!!!!

So what should I do? Should I just leave it as is and ignore the fact that I am supposed to be a biology minor at the interview? Is there a way they can find out if I have fulfilled my degree requirements for my minor?

Keep in mind I have a lot of bio classes under my belt: General Biology I and II, Microbiology, Human physiology, and Biostats all of which start with a "bio" and coarse number heading.

i dont think they can really tell if youve fulfilled your requirement until you actually graduate right? i mean every school's requirements are so different, so all they know is that youre pursuing that minor. if youre too lazy to change everything, i'd just keep it there and write them a personal letter saying that you decided later not to get your minor. (just like when you decide to change your planned courses) if you get into the interviews, i dont think something like that would be much of a big deal. 😍

I wouldn't change it at this point. Your PharmCAS app reflects your grades, major, etc. that you had a the time you filled it out. If you decide to change minors or not pursue one after the fact then you can just tell that to whoever asks later.

can they even tell if you have a minor? i mean, at my school, the minor doesn't even showup on any diplomas, i guess maybe on your transcript.

you said that you 'planned' on earning a minor. well, often times, things change and so you can explain it if it comes up later.

Don't sweat it. I decided to drop my biochemisty minor during my last term of undergrad. I had already been accepted to pharmacy school, and they didn't care at all since I had all of the pre-reqs done.

Good luck!!

Although I agree with the others...I don't think they can tell & they go by what you were doing/planning when you filled out the app anyway, you can always contact PharmCAS directly and tell them about your dilemma. They may be able to do something to your application from their end so that you don't have to delete and re-enter everything.
