I listed one of my dental assistant volunteer positions, but forgot to fill in my total number of hours (76) before I submitted. However, the LOR from this position documents the 76 hours. Will this hurt me? Is there anything I can do to fix this now?

My other shadowing, dental assistant volunteering, dental internships add up to 81 hours. Is this enough? It would have been 157 hours total if I had not left that one part blank.

Gosh, I am such a *****. I worked so hard for those hours. Let this be a lesson to anyone in a rush. Take your time, and do it right!

I think your worrying over nothing. Its no big deal. Seems like you have plenty of other experiences. If it really bothers you, you can revise it once aadsas send the final revision of your app back to you. But that will delay your processing time. I wouldn't worry about it at all

omg, i screwed up too and i cant agree with you more when you say dont rush. just as i hit submit, I realized that in my ps "an" reads "and". it is a small typo, but a typo none the less! and now i dont know what to do!!!
I tried to find out on the ADEA webpage but it says nothing can be revised. THIS SUCKS 🙁 ugh....

oh my god, you guys need to find better things to worry about. Like invading bugs from Klendathu that wants to wipe out mankind.

MVS, you really need to lay off the Robert Heinlein. Don't you know he's a gateway author 😉

🙂 hehe only read stranger in a strange land... however have seen both movies!! 😀

Easy for you guys to say! You all probably already got into dental school, have great stats, or didn't make any mistakes on your application. This is my second time applying, so 76 shadowing hours down the drain does kind of bother me. Thanks for the reassurances though. 🙂

Also - You are not allowed to revise the EC/volunteer/shadowing section once you submit. So be careful!

I dont think interviews are granted based on shadowing hours or volunteer work. I think that GPA and DAT are the most important before the interview. When you get an interview, then you can explain any mistakes.

Actually no, I haven't gotten admitted yet, I've got OK stats and haven't even looked at the application yet. Just relax and you'll do fine. But thank you for the heads up on the EC/volunteering/shadowing section. It's much appreciated. 👍
