Anyone practicing either inpatient and/or SAR utilizing a scribe service or have any recommendations for one that would be best for this type of practice?

Most of the big companies should be able to offer you a free quote and will have some experience in inpatient rehab- ScribeAmerica, Proscribe, etc.

Depending on how much time you have to devote to this, hiring and training your own scribes (often by poaching them from companies) will result in lower cost for you, better pay for them, and better scribes.

Hey there, just reviving this thread and hoping to get recommendations from folks doing IPR for the best services/setups they experienced. Also, now there are quite a few AI options and wondering if anyone has tried out those?

Heidi has been awesome for me in outpatient setting.
Recommended to a couple friends who do IPR/SNF have been pretty happy with it as well.
Does it incorporate with the EMR well? how does it create the notes for you or do you still have to do that yourself? Also, can it copy forward previous notes and edit them to incorporate new information?

1. It does incorporate with some EMRs but not with our current one. Supposedly can pull forward your schedule for the day and have all visits ready to scribe.

2. It will hold onto prior visits for at least 30 days if you want it to. So once a note is used can either copy/paste into a new encounter and it will add/subtract based on new information or I suppose you can open the prior encounter and continue it and will add the new information.

The AI options are unbelievably impressive. Frankly, they’re probably too good. A little too Skynet for my tastes
