I was invited to interview with the company. Is it typical for the head scribes to send out a calendar regarding the next few weeks?

I've seen it done by some other scribing companies, but I didn't receive any information from SA aside from the introductory training packet and details about my interview date and time.

I'm not sure what you're asking. You have been invited to interview. You haven't even been selected for training, never mind working shifts...why would they send you a shift schedule?
They send you the training packet so you have an idea of what you'll be expected to learn if you are hired...if you will not be willing to learn it, there's no point in continuing.
The training will likely be setup once the head scribe knows who they will be training and when everyone involved is free.

Edit: To be more clear, no, you should not expect a complicated schedule at this point in the hiring process. They have not decided to hire you yet, and the training schedule is likely not finalized, as they try to be flexible with that and consider the new hires' schedules as well as the hospital's needs (how quickly do they need you to start). Even when they do send you a schedule, it's not exactly a daunting or demanding training setup which requires a ton of advance notice. It's not like PhysAssist with its travel and whatnot...just pretty standard job training.

Okay, thanks. I was told by a friend that she received a training schedule along with her interview confirmation. I guess I was wondering why the scribes at her location were doing something different from the site I'm interviewing at.

Wrote that post in a hurry, but you did answer what I needed to know. 🙂

It will all come down to the individual Head scribe. Don't sweat it too much.
