Scrub Training?

Scrub training? As in how to scrub in? No. Assuming you're already wearing scrubs, you just wash your hands, arms, dry them off all sterile-like, slip on your gown, and put on your gloves with damp hands (the tricky part).

Even if you aren't already wearing scrubs, change in the bathroom. If you're a guy, at most they'll see your boxers and your shirt.

While shadowing a surgical team, I changed into scrubs in the locker room with the med student and attending with who(m?) I spent most of the day. Yes, they saw my undergarments. We proceeded to spend almost the entire day in physical contact as I constantly looked over their shoulders and spoke face to face (as in <1 foot apart) with them. It was very intimate. It was also the best shadowing experience I have had...and no one made fun of my near nudeness from earlier in the day. Relax 🙂

Ditto on this: Assuming you're already wearing scrubs, you just wash your hands, arms, dry them off all sterile-like, slip on your gown, and put on your gloves.

They don't need to train you on how to change from street clothes into hospital scrubs in the locker room. They *do* need to train you on how to "scrub in" so that you're sterile.

Basically, they're teaching you how to wash your hands and put on a gown on top of your hospital scrubs.
