Hey, what happened to the Expert DAT Tutor thread?

Did someone delete it? WTF??? :laugh:

So uncool -- to delete a thread behind our backs. That thread should belong to the community!

I just joined the group! I work for Kaplan as a DAT instructor, LOL and I don't take any offense. But to be honest, the Kaplan DAT experience is based on your instructor.

was just thinkin about that, seems someone must have complained(snitched 😉) to the mods sayin its inappropriate

Thats the only way it would have been deleted, unless the creator of the thread deleted it himself( dunno if that's possible??)

I think the instructors are the only one that can score 20+. I've never heard anyone who took the class and scored well without other stuff, especially PAT.

I mean no disrespect to the online material, they're good but not enough to get you a good score...

and yeah I had a pretty useless instructor, the guy was smart but not teaching material....

plus the classroom course didnt really help...just killed my gas

HAHAHA I took the class, searched the score of my instructor (who sucked at teaching) on predents and aimed to beat her. Of course, I had supplemental materials like cliffs, destroyer, etc. But I don't blame you guys for feeling the way you do.

I wouldn't do it. You'll get bad karma. I mean you know it's an awful course, people are getting ripped off, and you'll basically be getting paid good money to pretend that the material is going to get your students high scores. Talk about a guilty conscience. Getting into dental school is too important. Can't have any bad karma.

I think SDN should have it's own class. SDN'ers have found the best resources to use as evidenced by all the crazy high scores o_o....who needs Kaplan, psh!

I totally agree! We have the best of each material; we should consolidate and teach it here.

And who wants to be #12 on facebook SDN? Who wants to be the last of the first dozen?

You have to score above the 90th percentile to teach for them, you have an interview, and you have to go through like a month and a half long training program. But, like I said before, the experience is dependent on your instructor. Hopefully I dont get fired for posting on here LOL

They pay well, which is dependent on your score and previous teaching experience. But, don't teach to make money. I make good money but I spend a lot on food for my students during class. The people teaching for the money are the people who make Kaplan suck. I'm fortunate enough to come from a higher socioeconomic class and was brought up to give back to others, so please don't apply for the money. You'll be doing pre-dental students a disfavor.
