SDN is the imminent premedical, medical, post-graduate, and attending medical forum. Does anyone know of any similarly imminent types of forums in other areas of study? For example something like a Student Lawyer Network, student business network, student real-estate mogul network, or student IBanker Network.

I'm interested in learning about money/finance/business/law/etc

I don't think there is anything like that for business or finance.

People in business and finance are working - medical students have a restricted 4 year period to get a degree - hence we can't move faster. Business/finance, you can always be making money and moving faster - hence they don't sit around and read + post in forums. Just my experience. I know nothing about law though.

There are a lot of financial blogs though - and that would be your best bet to learn (or great finance books).

lol...well sitting around and reading forums doesn't take that long 😛

But, I do agree in that reading blogs for any field can be very helpful. Forums like this are really great as well to get real perspectives on things in addition to finding answers to questions you have(as well as searching topics which contain the same questions and answers to those!)

My sister was on this site when she was applying to law school: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/index.php

But I'm pretty sure current lawyers don't really hang around it and talk about lawyer stuff. It's mainly admissions/ getting your first job.

There is a bit of employment/law firm discussion but it's mainly geared towards 0Ls/law students I believe. It's a great site for anyone thinking about law school.

I lurked that site for a while in UG. Man, it's depressing.
