Is there any reason why Chrome is telling me SDN is distributing malware? I keep getting this error when visiting.

"Warning: Something's Not Right Here!
studentdoctor.net contains content from geistsweden.eu, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else."

Anyone else getting this?

My mac was getting requests from SDN to allow access from a "advancedquality.com"

Same here! I got a pop up asking me if I want to allow some weird file to download onto my computer.

SDN staff should get on this... i think the advertisers are striking at us

Then use IE?

Wait...people still use IE?

Lulz. I can't think of the exact wording, but there's a joke that goes something like: "I thought it would be fun to design the worst internet browser ever...but then I realized Internet Explorer 9 already existed.

Fyi Trend Micro goes crazy every time I get to sdn.

Not that however my SDN app was acting really strange yesterday.

Come on guys... It isn't SDN that is doing this rather it is malicious ads that have slipped into the advertisement service that they use (via a 3rd party company) to help generate revenue.

Read this to help stop it: http://studentdoctor.net/about-the-ads/
Since no one will click this^

The Student Doctor Network is committed to showing only those ads that meet our standards for appropriate content. These particular ads are sold by Google Adwords who shares revenue with SDN.
SDN does not select the Google Adwords ads that appear on the site. The ads that display are relevant to you, generally based on your past browsing history. SDN does not have access to Google user information, but we have implemented filters in an attempt to prevent unacceptable advertising from showing on the SDN site. However, these filters don't catch everything.
If you find an inappropriate ad being displayed, please contact us immediately using the SDN Helpdesk. Ads that violate our acceptance standards will be removed from the site and our filters will be adjusted to help prevent a recurrence.
Political advertisements on SDN are paid for by the advertiser and such ads do not reflect the views of The Student Doctor Network, which neither endorses nor opposes any candidate for elective office or any political position of the advertiser.
To advertise on the Student Doctor Network, please contact our sponsorship staff.
To remove Google ads, please consider our "No Google Ads" option. Available for a 99¢ donation.

Im pretty sure what I was seeing yesterday wasn't a normal ad. There was java app in another language trying to download something onto my computer?

Yeah I'm getting that now, chrome keeps asking me to allow a java plugin to run wtf?

I worked for the Federal government and SDN was a blocked web site because it was deemed as being malicious. Which meant it had viruses etc. We used IE6

I keep getting a pop up with some spanish words trying to download on my computer too. I let family members use my computer, so it is possible that they picked up something. I used my adware/spyware software and thought it deleted it but apparently not. I may try a restoring point.

I think we are seeing the same thing, but I only see when I open the SDN front page. I don't know why mods aren't giving this issue more attention... 👎

Really?!?! Mods = moderators

They are not the technical people for the website. Have you reported what you are seeing to the SDN helpdesk? If not, then quit complaining.

So aggressive... It's ok, the mods can ignore the thread and not report it to their higher ups. I'm sure that's what they're supposed to do in a situation like this.

Adblock FTW!

I generally try not to use it so that sites can continue to get their ad revenue, but sometimes it's a good idea.

Haven't gotten any warnings from Chrome and Avast gives this website a good rating.

Then again, I have all advertisements from any location blocked by using a Hosts file.

I tried to get on yesterday and was asked to automatically to download a .exe file - figured it was a virus. Thanks for fixing it guys!
