Sorry guys, I'm with FFM and DocE on this one.

Not rhetorical questions: How long are we going to keep up the argument that she's helpful to us and not directly harming us? Are we going to blindly trust her results if/when they come out? How will we know that the information she's giving us is legit?

No. That would be pretty novel. I assume literally every combination of powers possible has been tried at some point, so it wouldnt surprise me if it happened once, but I have never heard of a chaos role with the ability to resist lynch.

No, I don't. I do not remember (scratch that) there was ONE game where the chaos player killed one person. But vast majority of the time, chaos can NOT kill.

My question for all the supporters of lynching WTF tonight? What are you going to do tomorrow for the lynch when WTF is STILL here and we have NO wolf information?
Are you going to lynch WTF again? Continue on this path?

What are the best ways for finding wolves? Calling out people on the thread and making them talk. It forces people to actually play the game. Right now, all people have to do is say lynch WTF and leave. There are no voting patterns to evaluate, no posts to see how people are playing, and no one making people defend themselves when they are acting wolfie. It is absurd to go after the declawed kitten when we could get ourselves a furry wolf with teeth and claws.

we don't.. but she knows the minute she crosses the villagers she is going bye-bye.
That is some pretty good motivation to help out.

She knows where her bread is buttered.
She knows not to bite the hand that feeds her.
She knows you catch more flies with honey?
She knows 2 bewbs are better than one.
A bewb in the hand is better than 2 on someone else.

I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. If WTF dies, we have to move on to someone else. If she doesn't, I will seriously consider giving it a rest hoping there will be night results from people who can investigate or have items that made shed light on another person. At this point I think it's a little late in the cycle to flush someone out and force them to talk.

Wrong.

WTF was chaos in a game that LIS and I created and she could resist lynch. And do a lot of other things.

WTF was chaos in an SOV game as well where she could escape lynch and attack and I believe killed a player during the game and she was just "there" at the end of the game.

There have been a few games where chaos can completely avoid lynch or are very difficult to kill.
 
Ohhhh yeah, I forgot to mention with all this distraction.
The reason I know about the Liar's Dice is someone asked me last night "Is there a Seer in your group?" using them.
Since the info is already out now(Thanks to WTF), SURPRISE I am the one who cleared our whole group. 😀 It was my one time ability and I decided to use it right away, since I *usually* die earlier in the games. (pulled a Lupin and used my role right off the bat)

i dont believe I've been in any of those games. I admitted that Im sure its been done, but it is very far from the norm and I'd posit those are exceptions to the rule.

It is never too late to get people talking. Look at last game where results were revealed 5 minutes before day ended. (By the way, if I am ever modding a game where results are given via item saying someone is a wolf and people drag it out for 8 hours ever again, I will personally mod killed all involved.)

That is the norm in pre-vet. And since rojo plays mostly in pre-vet; I would stick with how games have worked in the past here.
 
Okay so I read through/skimmed most of the thread, I'm honestly not really feeling lynching WTF yet (though I will probably disregard most of what she says) and agree with DVMD that we should focus more on the wolves, at least for a little bit. I'm not really feeling a jdh lynch either, but agree that I find Haxx a bit suspicious and so I'm going to lynch Haxx.

In all seriousness, I would rather lynch a wolf than chaos, just because they're a wolf. But I would rather lynch chaos than a villager, which is what we're most likely to dredge up at this point. We've seen many different versions of chaos, but I think you're painting a bit too docile a picture. We don't know for sure what WTF's abilities are, so saying she's declawed or harmless is a bit of a leap of faith that I personally am not so willing to make at this point.

well, you are not doing much besides defending WTF. I tried to get people to talk about the items, but all I got was rebuked by WTF and told by WS that I didn't read.

if you want to call people out, call people out. get more than 1/2 the people to buy into what you are selling. if you don't have a good reason to lynch someone, people aren't going to follow you.

at first he was all "I know how to play"….
then he started acting all noob-ish… went as far as to ask the mods in our group message if wolves can PM. To me that is trying too hard to look noob-ish. And why wouldn't you ask that in a private conversation.

And he knew SnS was abbreviated SnS. How did he know that? (well maybe he is observant, but i doubt it).

Anyone after all that he stopped talking.

My guess. He tried too hard to play the noob card and his fellow wolves told him to lay low.
Could be wrong. I wanted him investigated first, but I'd rather have JDH around than him any day, and twice on Sunday, but not on Friday, don't need no drunk rifle toting crazies around on friday's (jk).

My question time: Let's say we get to N8 and we've found 1 wolf, the rest we've lynched have been villagers. Now we know/have high suspicions of 2 other wolves but we still have WTF around. What do we do?

Do we lynch the wolves and THEN try and lynch WTF and let WTF get closer to winning? (we don't know how many times she can escape lynch, remember nor do we know what villager/wolf number she needs to get to to win)

Or do we try and lynch WTF first, not knowing how long it will take exactly and give the wolves a chance to convert someone?

I say lynch NOW when we don't have solid info of a wolf, instead of possibly losing a villager.

DocE who the feck are you?! You are not acting at all like yourself... which don't get me wrong is kind of nice, but really I am starting to wonder if you are smoking to much ganga, drinking too much, or you have a bizarre roll

We have a few rolls we might consider wolfy.... and yet for some reason we are not even attempting to lynch them or make them explain themselves....

When a person is seered do they come up as villager or as a wolf? because if they just come up as a roll name then we might be up ****e's creek without a paddle.... and then see we have to guess here and we can't sit around picking our arseholes.... and letting the wolves kill us off at night whilst we do not even attempt to kill them during the day....

Now a chaos role may have their own win condition yes.... but they do not have to be a priority for lynching until later in the game.... the vast majority of the time they cannot kill... so we are going to continually try to lynch WTF and let the wolves kill us off at night? yeah smart moves guise.... anyone pushing this lynch is probably wolfy.....

I am starting to wonder if the lot of you are playing your rolls a bit too to the part.... and not thinking with your damn brains.... or maybe you are just wolves.... I also have a bone to pick....

and for LIS... "Use your brain... it's that lump 3 ft above your ass"

She already crossed villagers. She's crossed our group TWICE. Outting we are all clear and outting what our group ability is. That information did not need to come out on thread on D3/4.

I give her at least 1/2 the game. Game isn't lost in the middle.
Even if we get no wolves, not like we can lose 1/2 through.

I have called out people... I called out jdh. I have called out haxx. I can't get people to pay the feck attention because you all have your hands buried under the lynch WTF sand, once people pull their heads out of this sand and listen, then we can get onto something.

Haxx is all kinds of dancing around answering who he is and what he can do. He is not even attempting to make a defense for himself. It isn't that hard to notice it.

Also, if we make to Night 8 without finding a wolf, then wolves damn well deserve to win at that point.

You don't wait until Night 8 to lynch WTF either, lynch her around Night 5/6. This game will probably go much longer than Night 8 though especially with how little killing is done.

We lynch WTF now, she is MOST likely not going anywhere. And we gain NOTHING. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero. We have no info at all and are going to have to more or less blindly seer against the same number of people again tonight.

First and foremost, let me explain the difference in noob-ness. Check out the ww sign up thread. I've been on SDN for a total of 2 months. I started looking at the lounge out of total boredom because I was fed up with premed forums, and so i've come to learn a little about people from the lounge. Then, I saw a WW thread coming to the top, asked a bunch of questions about it, read a few past threads to get the hang of things, and then it looked fun so I PM'ed jojo to sign me up. I used the SnS abbreviation because that's what my group members did, and honestly everyone uses abbreviations.

The reason I asked jojo about wolves is because that was honestly not information I could gather from reading past threads.

The reason it wasn't a private PM is because when the rules were explained to me, I was told that PM's outside of the game for info are Verboten, so I didn't want to get modkilled for being dumb. It didn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

I played up the "I know how to play" business at the beginning because as it's been said, I'm Chillbo, and my role message summed up to something like, "you've played a few games and now get all the roles? what?" so my role was telling me to act experienced I guess. Is that enough? Anything else? I'm vanilla. If you lynch me, I'm gonna throw stars around a big "I TOLD YOU SO."

I have a role without a post restriction, but it is fun to act like the role. Add in that so far I've had few epiphanies except that I am on a very different thought wavelength than you and DVM (not picking on you two, but you do seem to share the same thoughts), and I am just having fun with my "Im still here and paying attention" posts.
 
It's not that I'm not listening to what you're saying DVMD, it's just that I disagree. I admit I'm suspicious of Haxx, but if he's really chillbo...I don't see that being a wolf. I'd rather lynch a non-villager than a villager.

What do you see being a wolf? Role name means nothing this game. Anyone can be a wolf.

He's a noob. I just don't know why certain people are going so far to defend chaos, when in other games, they want chaos out right away.

And also, for the seers out there, I think most of my group are acting off this game, so look into them.
