Books or sources? The only source I used was my heart. 😍 It's all you need.

I wouldn't be surprised to know there is an english lab @ your school loaded with people who will really help you out. I came in after writing down lists of stuff about me and who i was/am and who i what I want to become. Then they had me write it out in a more story form. Then we worked it back into a theme, then loaded up adjectives, pronouns, verbs that mean what you want it to mean with emphisis. Then we started cutting and cutting and cutting and cutting until we could get it to fit into the word count (this is the tough part). Then we re-wrote it about 5 more times to get the wording exactly right. Then I took it to my advisor and a couple of docs and had them all read it critically. I ended up re-writing it in a couple of spots and the core was still there. I had maybe 20 revisions. The english dept really got into it and helped me get the words right and in the right order within the proper english (you will be suprised @ how poorly we "edukated" amerikans right ). I was humble and willing to listen, but kept focused and intent on making it right no matter how much work i had to put in.

So, go to your english dept and make some friends. You will be suprised @ how willing people are to help you. Of course, give them the, "it's a one in a million shot", but if this is good, i might get in! People love to help the underdog!! 😍

I would go back to pre-allo and ask who is setting up the "will read your essay" thread. Maybe, you could set that thread up yourself?

Other SDN people read mine, and I have read others about a b'jillion times. It was the best help I got, plus helping other people helped me out as well. I learned alot. Besides, it's a decent thing to do to want to give back to the boards.
