Okay, many of these forums deal with people getting second chances at pursuing the dream to become _________. I wonder, though, does this carry on when dealing with relationships? Does anyone believe in giving someone a second chance at a relationship? What would be the deciding circumstances if you would (or wouldn't)? Just curious.

I guess it depends of the person if he/she wants to give a second chance. How much they loved their partner? Can they live with/without them? Would they we willing to let do of the differences that seperated them? But in the case of cheating partners there no right answer for that its a combination of the above and if the partner really loves/regrets/stays loyal to you in the future.

It simply comes down to trust. If there is still a thread of trust left, then second to infinity chances can be given. If trust is broken then there isn't a viable future in the relationship.

Well, there are FEW people I trust 100%...my mama, my papa, brothers and a few long time close friends. 🙄 To trust someone, you have to observe their behavior over time. Time, in the end, is the ultimate revealer of truth.

It's during the worst moments in your life that the truth shines through. You know who is really your friend/potential partner when you get seriously sick or are in debt. You can only know who to trust once someone is there for you through thick and thin. There are always plenty of people who are there to have fun with you when you're riding high but quickly vanish the moment you hit a rough spot in your life.

We are all "diamonds in the rough" in the relationship arena. Some of us are more "polished" than others . We all have our own learning curves. Ultimately, it is only through maturing and experience that we can distinguish what is a right or wrong relationship.

That, and, the factor(s) causing the breakup would need to be resolved or made into non-issues.
