If I decide to go for a second degree at a different university, how would the grades for that degree affect my gpa, or will would it be a whole new gpa. How does that work.

Are you going for another undergad degree, postbac, or graduate degree?
If you decide to apply to PharmCAS schools, the pharmCAS system will calculate both your undergraduate GPA and Graduate GPA as separate entities so schools know how you perform on undergrad and grad levels. Your cumulative GPA will combine both undergrad and grad grades.
Getting a second degree can definitely help your chances to pharm school if you've done well academically.
