So I'm going for an interview at a school I was waitlisted at last year. Naturally I figure that it may come up in the conversation, but do I bring it up if they don't? Oh yeah, and what if on the off shoot chance I happen to re-interview with one of the people I was interviewed by last year and they don't remember me? Pretend I don't know them? Give them a hug and tell them how much I enjoyed our last converastion???

I don't think you should bring it up if they don't. However, since the interviewer may already know, they are probably going to ask you about it anyways....so make sure you address what you have done differently this year and how you have improved your application. If you happen to re-interview with the same person, then just mention a couple of good things about last time's encounter and how you learned how important it was to do blah blah, or how interesting that little tidbit about the school is and how it motivated you to apply again to the school, etc... This is just my personal opinion. I haven't been successful at gaining entry into medical school yet.

Thanks paradocs, that's more or less along the lines of what I was thinking. Good luck with your apps, your stats look good I'm sure you'll get in somewhere! :luck:

I agree.

Don't mention it if you aren't asked, and be prepared to answer the question if they do.

Remember to strike up things in a positive manner. If they ask you about your interview from last year, tell them - you really like this school and that even though you didn't get in last time, you haven't let that get you down - you are still happy to have the priveledge of being interviewed again.

You can do it!👍
