If you have an interview at a school and you're rejected... do you still have a chance of being interviewed again in the next cycle? Granted you've spiffed up your app, etc. I guess what I'm asking is do the adcoms make the decision that you're not right for their school if you didn't do so well at the interview (just extreme nerves not anything I said) and that's pretty much it or do they give you an equal chance as others who haven't interviewed at their school before?

This is a serious question so any input would be much appreciated! Thanks 👍

yeah i mean i don't see why not. especially if you strengthen your app. that happened to me last year with a school, this year as well. i was waitlisted both times. good luck

You definitely have a chance at being accepted the next cycle. They don't completely write you off-- especially if your application showed improvement. I know certain schools have an additional interview for candidates being interviewed for the second time. This is probably to show growth within the past year.

Thank you both for your input!

I didn't think a school would completely write you off unless you did something completely horrible, but you never know...

From a lot of admissions persons I have spoken with, they like to see you reapply. Especially if you get an interview and up your application for the next cycle. Even if you dont get an interview, they like to see persistence and commitment. With that being said, DONT GIVE UP!! Good luck!
