I was wondering if someone/some people could share how their experience(s) with "second-look weekend" at a medical school occured. Specifically, how do finances work (ie, what are you responsible for paying for, etc.)? How do sleeping arrangements work (ie, stay with a med. student vs. have your own hotel room)? And any other useful info.

Depends on the school. I'm going to one where they're paying for the hotel and food, reimbursing me for driving, etc. I've heard of others where you pay for everything though.

Thanks for the reply! So I guess my next question would be:

If you dont' want to fork over the cash to visit a school for the second time - a school that you all ready intend on matriculating to, do you need to go there for "second-look weekend" or can you just skip out on that and show up for class on the first day? 🙂
