Is it worth it?

As others have said before me, it helped me decide between #1 and #2. Yes, it was worth it (some places just have really badly arranged interview days but otherwise good programs).

Jamie, howd it help you decide? Im doing this too - was it that on the second look it wasn't as great? I'm only doing one second look - but I'm completely confused nwo between 1 and 2 😳

i did a second look today and this time i focused on things that i didn't get a chance to observe while on interview or rotation, like ancillary staff, the amount of tracking down a specialist that the intern had to do, and how the interns looked now as opposed to when i first saw them in july. i did a rotation at this place and interviewed, but after spending time at #s 2 and 3, i went back with a very narrow comparison. my main concern was the inpatient floor. very glad i did it. and it kept me in the memories of the residents. never know who's on the selection committee!

The program I'm at now had a bad interview day. I went for a second look because we really wanted to live in that city. I got a very different view, and felt much more comfortable ranking it #1. I also liked my #2 choice the second time around, for the record. But I can be very indecisive.
