Depends on the program and what they were able to fit into your interview day. For example, if a program interviews on a day where they don't have grand rounds, they might have you sit in on that. Or they might have you sit in on some didactics. Or they might have a Q&A session with residents and/or faculty.

It can be a good opportunity to get a broader look at a program (and to remind you of what the program is like if you interviewed early in the year), but if you can't (or don't want to) go don't worry about it.
 
One program mentioned that I could come back for a second look at meet with some of the child faculty and people that I may be interested in doing research with...
