This is a great day in my medical career, probably second only to matching in terms of excitement.

I got invited to a Drug Dinner at the best Oyster Bar around. Drinks at 6PM 👍 , Dinner at 7PM 👍. 😀 😀 😀

I'm calling a few classmates so we can enjoy Post-Match life in 4th year in style.

And all because I didn't skip noon conference today 😎

I hope CCF has lots of DRUG DINNERS 😍

Don't worry about that... I take full advantage and don't listen to anything they say. But, THIS ONE IS THE GRAND PUBA 👍 👍

They have Johnnie Walker Blue and other pricey libations at the bar, the raw bar costs a semester's worth of med student loans to really enjoy, and the entrees and desserts will prohibit anyone from ever considering primary care medicine as a career. 😱 😱 ...oh no he didn't, oh yes he did...

I'm talking about a place that is the best place around; a line out the door during bad weather. Reservations if you can get them. And NO spouses invited... so I don't know if they're trying to save money or if we're having stippers for dessert.

All I know is, I don't need to drive my car and I'm having a FEW Blue Labels :wow: :wow: and prawns as big as neonates for dinner.

I think that's an ethical thing, from my understanding. All the drug rep dinners I've seen forbid spouses from attending, but I'm not sure of the details. But I like the idea of strippers....

dear journal,

it was a standard day for me in my medical career. i worked hard, saved several lives, ate, studied, and will now sleep.

goodnight.
