I keep reading how Dec.1 acceptances marks the end of the first round where the top of the applicant pool gets invited, interviewed, and accepted and that starting with the end of Dec/or early Jan (is this the right time?) the SECOND ROUND starts.
How does the second round work? Do adcoms wait til they get withdrawal notices and then invite those applicants like me that have not even interviewed yet to interview? Or do they just automatically start accepting people that they have already interviewed but were not as stellar enough to accept in the first batch a few days ago?
Basically if I havent even had an interview yet am I compared to the people that are more than likely have my stats and have not been interviewed yet either or those with higher ones that have been interviewed but just not accepted?
I know it doesnt matter who were compared to as long as we get in. I guess Im just trying to keep my hopes up and trying to find more comforting answers.
