It may sound stupid, but has anyone done so well the first semester, they are really nervous about the second? I didn't understand one of my homework probs the other day and felt soo freaked out and helpless. I did so well last semester, and already have it in my mind that my gpa for spring-even if its good-just wont be as high b/c my classes are much harder. I don't know how to calm down, relax and just enjoy my classes b/c im so scared of not getting A's on my first tests/assignments. Somebody please help me. Im sorry if it sounds vain or stupid but I am really nervous and pre-occupied with my grades to the point of worrying. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

relax. you'll do fine. there's more things to life than getting As on all your assignments. don't worry about doing as well as last semester, just do well.
what year in school are you?

Haha I know what you mean. Traditionally, second semester has always been a downfall for me... I think I get too burned out or something. Just don't worry about it too much; it's all psychology.

Hey- don't worry- you're classes are harder now because you got smarter last semester (and you must have since you did so well). It's the beginning of the semester and you just need to get back into the swing of things.
;)

Im in my second year. Thank you for the comforting words. I just feel so pressured and when im doing my first reading assignments I keep reading the same things over and over like its the only way for me to understand. I know its all in my head.

Dude you gotta take like 100 more exams before you graduate. RELAX. If you don't learn to relax now you're going to be screwed for the MCAT ...think about it.

It'll get better after your first exams when you realize you can pull it off in these classes as well. So just try to get past those first exams. A lot of it is a matter of getting used to new classes.

Just remember you did it before. So there is no reason you can't do it again. You are intelligent and capable and as long as you put in the work you will one day achieve your goals. Good luck!!

I know the feeling Nub, after 2 mediocre freshman year smesters, I just had a 3.87 one... and although I am not taking that hard of a classes, I have a feeling this semester is going to be little bit down.dddddss

Relax and have fun. Being an out of stater, I'm doing all the thigns I want to do here that I haven't done before, because I doubt I'll be back in Texas for a while.
