So for answers to questions like why this school or how much do u know about our school, doesn't it seem like most students have the brains to look up relevant info and put together a good paragraph that makes them sound like a fit? and of course, everyone's gonna talk about aspects of the school that make it unique..

hence my question...how are u supposed to stand out when everyone's in the same boat with these questions?

Yes, most students do this but what can make it specific is interspersing details about YOU within that and building a unique narrative. So if school A is known for having a free clinic students can work at you could state this and then talk about your past experiences in a clinic and why you would want to continue this line of work, what it means to you, etc. It isn't about reinventing the wheel so much as it is about showing how you fit in with the school's ideals and interests.
