So I'm looking through past secondaries considering many are the same every year.
I notice that many have a personal challenge or obstacle question relating to one's background and its role in choosing medicine. Yet they always mention "not addressed elsewhere in the application".
Now, my PS and disadvantaged status essay both touch on these, so should I even write anything?

I have a pretty unique story and upbringing, and I know it will be brought up during interviews. So should I try to provide more detail on my personal story or just leave it blank and say "they'll see that I already touched on it in the primary app"

I wouldn't leave it blank. Either expand on your story with anything you haven't talked about, or simply say that "my largest challenge in life is detailed in my PS". Never leave anything blank because it might be assumed by ADCOMs that you were not careful enough and completely missed it.
