I just called michigan state and they said that OOS applications are under review and it will take awhile for those apps to be completed since 80% of their class is from Michigan. So any OOS applicants waiting on MSU should pull up a chair and relax cause it's going to be awhile for us OOS applicants to hear from them, even after our 60 bucks is spent for pot luck parties at the office of admissions.
 
I got the instructions for Harvard, but can we actually submit it yet? I can't find the link on the website. 😕
 
I just got an invite for the University of Wisconsin-Madison secondary and I am an OOSer (through e-mail).

Yes it is. I completed mine today.

About a question that has not been answered 100X in this thread already....Whats the word on U of Alabama? My records say they screen, but I have heard nothing from them.

I still havent received the second email, hopefully they will send it out this week.
 
Anyone verified after 7/20 able to use the UCLA or UCSF status pages? I get a message saying they don't have my info yet.
 
Anyone heard anything about the Duke secondary????

What's the deal, it's taking them forever huh...I just want to get them allll done before I start work in september!!! :scared:

OK so I finally got it today when I checked my e-mail...my last name begins with a "P"....it was nice since the questions were already released I was able to paste in my essays and send it immediately! Thanks to whoever first posted them.

I know Yale's secondary is available online, but don't they also send out invites via email? My AMCAS was verified on July 19, but I haven't heard from them...
 
Just got the EVMS secondary invite. I feel very honored to have passed the screen. Anyone know how selective the screen is? This is the first school I passed a screen at, although I don't think I applied to many schools that screen anyway.

I'm pretty sure I got an email from them like the day after verification.

Congrats musiclink! Thats awesome. It must be fairly selective because I actually went to EVMS for grad school and still havn't heard from them yet. Props to you though. 👍

I believe I did, as well. But yes, the secondary is available to anyone on their website.
 
When I submitted my NYU application, for the essays, all the apostrophes changed to ? marks. Anybody else have this problem? Kind of paranoid about it, but I typed in my responses rather than cut and pasted, so maybe it's a general problem.

You need to paste plain text (e.g., something written in Notepad or Wordpad, not in Microsoft Word). Oh, I see that you typed and still had the problem. Strange... 😕

this same thing happened with the UMiami application. the error message said that that type of text isn't allowed or something like that. i didn't have very many, but i went through and changed the wording so i didn't have to use them. yes, it was very annoying, but i worked around it. for example, with possession, i switched it from "my team's accomplishments" to "the accomplishments of my team" or something along those lines.

Get the same message, but verified 7/20. I thought i was the only one that got the message.

they sent it to me w/o any screening...i'm an out-of-stater, but i'm applying for the md/phd program, so they might send that to everyone. i dunno.

The strange thing was that it showed up fine when I type it. The horrible part of the application was that there was no preview and let you viewed the application after you submitted and that's when I noticed the mistake. Uh oh!

uh oh! the miami one wouldn't let you submit with them in there. i'm sure it happens to people a lot. nothing you can really do about it now. good luck

crap i just realized they need 3 behavior science requirements (i dont really know any premeds who take psych classes). Im an anthro/bio major with one the only relevant psych class to be Psychological Anthropology. Should i even bother? i graduated already so its not like i can take one per semseter in my senior year. Does that make me an automatic rejection...ugh i wish i knew this ahead of time.
 
No psyc pre-meds at your school? We have quite a few, I'm even a psyc minor (the psyc classes are predominantly female 😉 )

Confirmed, UNM secondaries are out via email, I just got one


speaking of which, if you are invited to fill out the secondary, you are also invited for an interview

Are you through with school? I know that I could take them my senior year...they require you to have them done by the time you attend.

i graduated and going to get a one years masters in the upcoming year. I dont know if ill really have any room to put in psych classes, if i even can add it into my curriculum.
 
hi guys, i called BU today and was told that the secondary is being sent out in very small increments. there are still a lot of people who haven't received it yet. but if you still haven't gotten it in the next several weeks, to give the admin office a call.
