Does anyone know if GWU, Georgetown, EVMS, or UVA have a page where you can check the status of your application (once you're been granted a secondary)?

Also, for the person that got the Louisville seconary...are you in-state or not? What were the questions on it? Thanks 🙂

I am an in-state applicant. I know for sure that they sent the secondary e-mails to all of us in-staters a few days ago. They each have 500 character limits. That can be a blessing or a curse!

Here are the Q's:

How well did your high school prepare you for college?
What determined your choice of college(s)?
How do you assess your college record?
OOS only - describe your interest in the UofL SOM
Circumstances adversely affecting your academic performance?
Research Experience (including any publications and/or curriculum vitae)
What career(s) would you probably consider if you could not be a physician?
How do you see yourself practicing medicine after residency training?
Discuss briefly why you have decided to pursue a M.D. degree program:

Then there are other things such as hobbies and interests, paid and volunteer work, EC's w/leadership (even high school, so dig deep!). mother and father educational and work histories, etc. etc.

Dude, it's absolutely worthless. If you have a pre-med committee, you just have to indicated that.....and that's the entire secondary

Its got a couple of bars and some nice places to eat, but most of the action is in the city of White Plains which is about 10 min away by car or 45 min away in NYC via the commuter railroad metro-north which has a stop in valhalla (about 5 min away from NYMC). NYMC is also attached to the largest Trauma center (Westchester Medical Center) north of NYC. Long story short, you are gonna want a car if you go there or you are going to want to make friends with someone whose got one.

submitted 6/23 verified 07/05 but received Pritzker secondary before verified, I received it on 6/28. Other than that secondaries for 8 of the schools I applied to came within 1-7 days after verification. I am still waiting for 7 secondaries from places like Emory and Harvard and Vanderbilt (classic long wait schools)

I haven't received the NYMC email either and I was verified on July 2. I have an urge to spend $100 on a secondary right now, where are you, NYMC secondary?

That's really weird, I got my NYMC secondary this morning and I was verified only a few days ago.

If it makes you feel any better, it has no essays and takes about 1 minute to complete 🙂

I just checked mine and it says "Your AMCAS application has been evaluated and we are sending you our secondary application by e-mail."

don't panic when i say this. i got mine the same day i received the first email. that was early July (july 3rd). they are probably swamped right now. i wouldn't worry just yet. good luck

You can use nailpolish (match the color exactly) like white out on colored forms. It is so old-school.

actually i took both. i don't think there was a choice. our class was a transition year for biomechanics and fluids, so we TOTALLY lucked out on that. the class of 2004 had to take both biomech and fluids, and we got to choose one or the other (though pretty much everyone took biomech).

there is no secret password or anything with Rush. Their email just has the website link, and you create your own account with your AMCAS, etc. If I was you I would just see if it will let you do it. I'm sure it will.
