This is basically my first real post, so if someone has already asked this question, I apologize.

Is there a thread that has organized the URL's for the secondaries at each school? I know that some schools may not have it readily available online, but I have noticed through reading different threads that several do. I applied in early December and would like to be prepared for those schools that send me secondaries so that I might respond promptly.

If you happen to have a web address to any schools' secondaries and would be willing to share them, that would be excellent. I hope to make up the lateness of my primary with a fast secondary 😀. I believe my stats are competitive, so hopefully I still have a shot: http://www.mdapplicants.com/viewprofile.php?id=7350

Otherwise, I'll be back at it in June. Thanks ahead of time for any links!

I only have info for NYCOM, Touro-MI and PCOM as those are the only schools that overlap...NYCOM's secondary comes with interview invite and you just fill it out and bring it with you to the interview so no need to worry about that one.

Here is a link to Touro-MI's secondary and I'm pretty sure they don't want you to send it until you are officially asked, but as long as you meet min. GPA and MCAT requirements I believe they send secondary:
http://www.tucom.edu/admissions.htm

As for PCOM I don't believe there is an online link..the secondary is sent to everyone and is pretty short and simple...I do remember it having the question why PCOM though, not sure about what other questions were on there. Other people may remember better/did not choose to erase everything from their mind upon mailing secondaries...

Anyways good luck!!

What schools are you applying to? I can get you the list, but which schools you want it for. To list all DO schools will take too long.

Excellent! Your login name is also an enzyme. Nice choice. I applied to the following schools:
PCOM
NSUCOM
LMU-DCOM
NYCOM
WVCOM
Touro-Mare Island
Touro-NY
Western-COM
LECOM
LECOM-Bradenton

Thank you very much, maybe this would be a valuable thing to "sticky" (not sure if I'm using the term correctly) once we get the addresses to each of the secondaries (if available).

Here is DCOM:

**EDIT** LECOM does not wish these direct links to be used, applicants "should use only the links from the LECOM web site which gives instructions for using the online application." ~Nate

NYCOM and WVSOM you only get if you interview. PCOM sends it to you. I don't think there is a link. I am not sure about the others.

Did you just apply? Your stats are great, but you are really late. You probably still have a good chance though with your numbers. GOOD LUCK!:luck:

I applied Dec. 10th, transcripts were verified Jan. 9th, and application mailed Jan. 14th. I guess I'm kind of nervous in that I may not get into one of my top choices, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to wait another year. I was originally going to wait until next application cycle and spend two years exploring other options. Once you're a physician, you've really been handed a gift to make a difference. I wanted to make sure there was nothing else I wanted to do first. Well, now I'm sure . My Dad always tells me a story about a physician friend of his that builds houses for a living...exclusively. I guess because of this, among other things, I've been a little more cautious and tried other things out, but it's made me a lot more comfortable with my decision to pursue it. Thanks for the links and encouragement Dr. Mom.

You're welcome. 🙂 I still think you have a chance to get in. You have really great stats. What is your top choice and what do yuou want to specialize in?
I highly recommend DCOM, but NYCOM is a great school too and you are instate. I depends what you want to do.:luck:

I think it's hard to really know what your top choice is until you get to visit the school and get a taste for the culture of the school. That's much more important to me than a lot of other things. I feel like the further south you go, the happier the students are. So, NSUCOM looks nice. Most of my friends live in Manhattan or Long Island, so I'm pretty interested in NYCOM. Of course, it's not like I'm really going to be doing a lot of "hanging out" so I guess that doesn't really matter. My parents are considering moving near their friends in Tennesee so DCOM seems like a good choice too. I think I'll know better after visiting a few schools. I'm interested in family medicine. My father is retired Air Force, so I'm also considering the possibility of serving as a physician in the military. Still have a while to figure that out though. Have you interviewed / been accepted anywhere yet?

I interviewed at PCSOM, DCOM, and NYCOM. I was accepted at the first two and withdrew post-interview at NYCOM. The cost of living is too high to raise a family there. I withdrew most of my other applications after my DCOM acceptance, so I really didn't look at any other schools. I also want to do family medicine. DCOM was without a doubt, my favorite. I am going there. :luck:

LECOM offers an Online Secondary Application. A previous post gave a direct link to the application that bypasses the LECOM application web page that includes information on how to prepare to complete the online application.

You should make sure you have all the information requested before starting the application.

Applicants should go first to www.lecom.edu, click on College of Medicine for either Erie or Bradenton campus, select admissions and application from the menu.

Here are direct links to the LECOM Application pages.
