Should we submit abstracts if say optional? If so, what kind qualitie abstract should submit? Only accepted by conference in national level? Or college level is fine too?

My opinion is no!

Do you mind saying more about this? One secondary specifically used abstracts as an example, and I had planned on submitting the abstract for a talk I recently gave at a conference. I was thinking this would be a big boost to my application!

If something asks for an abstract then cool to do it. If something suggests that the optional essay go to the diversity or in adversity essay then cool to do it. Otherwise probably not worth while

If abstracts are asked for, use the highest quality. College conference abstracts aren't subject to the same level of peer review that regional and national conferences provide before accepting them.

Applicants often go into far too much detail about research, way over the level needed for evaluators to understand it. More importantly, the content, the data, the actual work you did is almost meaningless the decision both whether you should be admitted to medical school or be a physician. What Adcoms need to see from any activity is what does it say about you as a person and characteristics that would be applied as a physician. Are you intellectually curious? Do you have motivation and commitment to a project? Can you both work in a team and be a leader? Can you understand, integrate, synthesize, and ultimately apply information?

Got it, thanks for the detailed insight!
