In on of the school's secondary applications it tells you that "You have the option to elect to have your premedical advisor informed of action taken on your application by the Committee on Admissions".

Then it asks if you want your pre-med committee informed of any decision on your application or not.

Can it hurt me if I put that I don't want my premed committe to know what happens? It does say that "all information regarding decisions on your application are considered confidential".

Or should I just put that they can tell my pre-med committee anything just to play it safe?

Advice please.

which school is this for??

just wondering

cuz i havent come across it yet

this is what our premed office emailed to us regarding this question

"Second, some students have asked how they should respond to the question about releasing information to their undergraduate school. Hopefully you will release information to us since it helps us to know how you are doing throughout the process. It is very hard for us to be helpful if we are in the dark."

so maybe if you are waitlisted or something, your school can help out somehow if the med schools told them something regarding your app

just my thoughts

If you do, it will help future applicants from your school. I personally don't see why you would care if info gets released, but it shouldn't affect your application either way
