Secondary Application Question

So, one of my top schools is an osteopathic program in Texas. For the secondary they highly recommend I send an additional LOR from an osteopathic physician. The only osteopathic physician I know well enough for a LOR has had legal issues. Basically if you googled his name, multiple negative news articles would pop up. Should I just bite the bullet and get another MD letter of recommendation, try to find a different DO, or just go with him and hope it will be fine? TIA
