Are some payable online by using a credit card? Or do nearly all schools require you to mail the check/money order directly to them? And when the supplementary application becomes available, are these directly mailed in with the checks or do you submit them online?

Please refer to your ADEA application.

good questions, i'm curious too

are the answers on the adea application? when i went through it i didnt see anything about how payments for the secondaries are sent. i saw one school that said payment could be done online, but for the rest they just stated whether there was an application fee or not, and how much

Buffalo can be paid online. The other ones I applied to are either by check or an admissions officer will contact with further instructions.

you will see that some schools require more than just a check for their secondary.
Most schools I believe, do prefer the mail-in check way.
I know University of Kentucky allows online transactions.

just curious, are you guys mailing everything with tracking # and/or express/expedited?

Nooo. Don't do that. While the stuff may get there a day earlier most schools are too swamped to quickly deal with signing for those expedited stuff. I had a friend send hers expedited and it ended up taking an extra week for her to sort it out between UCLA and the Post Office. Whatever you do, make sure it is as simple as possible for the school to get the files.

hmm, good point. but wouldn't hurt to ship using a method w/ tracking and no signing though right?

I'm going abroad at the end of June and will be in Europe for a month after that...do you guys think that's going to be a problem for the schools who need to contact me about secondaries?

i dont want to have gone thru all this to get my apps in early and then blow it =[

You are in the same situation as me, im submitting my app soon and leaving the states in early July. Im traveling for about a month coming back in August. I have my parents here who can collect or send mails for me or contact me when I get notified from school. Hopefully it will be okay....
